D.I.Y CBD Infused Dog Treat Recipe
Most people do not realize you can cook with Dr. Raw coconut oil based cannabis tinctures. We have shared other fun recipes before and now wanted to share a healthy D.I.Y CBD option for your fur baby. Since our tinctures are made with ultra distilled cannabis oil, there is no cannabis odor or taste. These Focus Formula High CBD dog treats are easy to make, healthy and your dog will love them.
Infuse CBD:
Makes approximately 30 medium sized bone shaped treats at 15g per treat
Focus Formula Tincture- 90mg needed/batch
250mg/500mg bottle- 9 droppers filled to the .6ml mark
1000mg bottle- 9 droppers filled to the .3ml mark
Ingredients:
⅔ cup pumpkin puree
¼ cup organic, unsweetened peanut butter; make sure it contains no xylitol- this is toxic to our furry friends
2 large eggs
2.5-3 cups Gluten-Free flour or whole wheat flour plus a little extra for rolling out the dough. Learn why gluten or grains are not always good for your dog.
½-¾ cup finely chopped kale; washed and dried
Equipment:
Stand mixer or food processor
Large cutting board
Rolling pin or wine bottle
Bone shaped cookie cutter
Cookie sheet with parchment paper
Process:
Preheat oven to 325 F. (Baking under 350 F Degrees will not burn off cannabinods).
Prep 2-3 sheet pans with parchment paper.
Mix pumpkin puree, peanut butter, eggs and Focus tincture until smooth.
Slowly add 2.5 cups of flour; add more up to 3 cups if needed to make dough less sticky
Lightly flour your cutting board. Pull dough out onto the floured cutting board.
Knead your dough until soft and workable- about 3 minutes.
Roll dough out until approximately ¼ inch thick
Use cookie cutter to cut out treats- will make approximately 30 treats with a medium sized bone cookie cutter.
Place cut treats onto sheet pan. They can go super close together just not touching- they pretty much stay the same size during baking.
Bake for approximately 30 mins or until firm to touch and light brown in color.
Remove from oven and let cool.
